Winter in DeWitt County

Wes Dukes, Kenneth Schley Tom Batts and James Koenig pose with the 2006 DeWitt County Barbed Wire Snowman . He is illuminated after dark.  Kenneth Schley designed and constructed the snowman.  The board members believe he represents Farm Bureau well as all of his parts came from agriculture.

We had a contest  to Name the Snowman and Guess the Weight of the Snowman.

And the winners are...

Coy Boehm of Yorktown (pictured left) named the snowman "Rolley." County FB President James Koenig presented a $25 Wal-Mart gift certificate to Coy.

Walter Hoehne of Cuero came closest to guessing the weight with his guess of 551 lbs. Walter received a $25 gift certificate to
H-E-B.

We encourage other Farm Bureaus to build barbed wire snowmen to raise Texas agriculture awareness.
