Annual Meeting Highlights

The Martin County Annual Meeting was held on October 11. A barbecue lunch, by Baker's Catering of Stanton, was served at the office from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.,
with 85 people in attendance. The business meeting was called to order by J T Springer, president. Scott Glaze spoke about the Young Farmer & Rancher activities. T Springer and Jason Pribyla were Martin County's youth delegates to
the Citizenship Seminar in San Angelo last summer, and the teens spoke about what they learned and how much they enjoyed the seminar. Door prizes were awarded to Edwina Selman, Del Hartin, Derwood Clardy, Mike Harris, Maxine Howard, Bruce Key, Ina Fay Kuhlman, and Mike Adams. Carl Dean Carson,
agency manager, spoke to the members about the county's financial condition. Directors elected were: Rickey Mims, Michael Payne, Robert Quaid, Bill Stone,
and David White.

J T Springer, 2002 Martin County board president, seemed to be enjoying himself at the annual county convention.




T Springer and Jason Pribyla talked about the TFB Citizenship Seminar they attended June 2002 in San Angelo.






Ina Faye Kuhlman won a door prize at the 2002 county convention, which was held Oct. 11.
