Directors elected

Two new district directors—Lewis Lehman of Bangs, who replaces Regan Kirk of San Saba, who reached his term limit as the District 7 director; and Bobby Nedbalek of Sinton, who will take the place of retiring District 13 director Dale Jeske of Alamo—were elected at the TFB meeting in Waco.

Lehman, who has farmed all his life in Brown County, is a wheat, oats, hay and cattle producer.

A graduate of Bangs High School, he has served on the Brown County Farm Bureau board of directors since 1985, including serving seven years as president. He has also served on the state resolutions committee on two occasions as well as serving three years on the state hay and forage committee.

Nedbalek is in a family farming operation with his sons, Troy and Jason, and is a cotton, grain sorghum and cattle producer.

A 1959 graduate of Taft High School and a 1964 graduate of Texas A&I College in Kingsville, he has served as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of San Patricio County Farm Bureau. He also organized the Ag in the Classroom countywide two-day event for all fourth graders in San Patricio County.
