Livestock Marketing Seminar, Beef Cattle - Held in July 2008 at the county FB office
Economics, marketing and animal health were covered with 3 hours of CEU credits awarded. A panel discussion included Wayne Geistweidt, Dr. Laird Laurence and Dr. Rick Machen. Seminar sponsors were Gillespie Livestock Co., Inc., Gillespie County Farm Bureau and Texas AgriLife Extension Service.

Livestock Marketing Seminar, Sheep and Goats - Held October 2008 at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds
Economics, marketing and animal health were covered with 3 hours of CEU credits awarded. A panel discussion included Wayne Geistweidt, Dr. Laird Laurence and Brad Roeder. Seminar organizers included Gillespie Livestock Co., Inc., Gillespie County Farm Bureau, Laird Laurence, DVM and Texas AgriLife Extension Service.

Livestock Marketing Seminar, Predators and Toxic Plants - Held March 2009 at the county FB office
Dr. John Reagor spoke about toxic plants and Bob Sims spoke to the group about predators in the Hill Country. Two  IPM  CEUs were available. Attendees learned how predators and toxic plants injure and kill, not only livestock, but adults, children, pets and wildlife. They also learned to identify, protect and control these threats before they get out of hand.
