House Agriculture Committee hearings for 2012 Farm Bill

The House Agriculture Committee has scheduled two upcoming hearings to help form the 2012 Farm Bill.

Today, the committee will host two panels of experts to discuss specialty crops and nutrition programs. Nutrition programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), make up more than 75 percent of the current farm bill. The Subcommittee on Nutrition and Horticulture will hold the hearing at 11 a.m. at the Longworth House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

On May 10, the House Agriculture Committee will hold another hearing to discuss the impact of credit programs on the 2012 Farm Bill. Hosted by the Subcommittee on Department Operations, Oversight and Credit, the hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in the Longworth Building.
