Pasture weed control will be the primary topic of discussion during a field day May 17 in Abilene. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Taylor County Exposition Center’s Big Country Hall.
Participants will begin the day with a mesquite management educational session and an introduction to the herbicide Sendero. Then, busses will take the participants to Antilley Ranch in Wingate to tour mesquite trees treated with Sendero, as well as to view other pasture weed control treatments. The event will wrap up back at the Taylor County Exposition Center with a complimentary lunch, exhibits and additional demonstrations.
Participants will be eligible for continuing education units through the Texas Department of Agriculture and the Certified Crop Adviser program.
