Texas AgriLife to host backyard poultry class Oct. 27 in San Antonio

As part of its series on home-grown and homemade foods, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bexar County will host a Backyard Poultry program covering the basics of how to keep and care for laying hens. The program will be held on Oct. 27 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the West Feed Store in San Antonio.
Bryan Davis, Texas AgriLife Extension agent in Bexar County, said the program will cover everything from designing a coop to what to feed the chickens.
