USDA: Corn, wheat stocks lower than expected

Corn production across the nation is expected to be the lowest it has been since 2006.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture forecasts production at 10.7 billion bushels, which is down 13 percent from 2011. The forecast is down slightly from September.
Wheat is estimated at 654 million bushels, which is down from 698 million last month and 743 million last year. Soybean production was slightly higher than last month at 2.86 billion bushels. Soybean production is down 8 percent from last year.
