Over a thousand people from across Texas traveled to Waco over the weekend to attend the Texas Farm Bureau 79th Annual Meeting at the Waco Convention Center.
According to Dale Murden, a member of the TFB Credentials Committee, 1,021 voting members from 144 counties attended the business session of the convention Monday morning to discuss issues important to Texas agriculture and craft TFB policy.
Texas Farm Bureau President Kenneth Dierschke also addressed convention attendees and urged the farmers and ranchers to focus on rebuilding the nation. He noted that both citizens and legislators must work together to find solutions to the nation’s biggest challenges including immigration reform, overregulation and the pending farm bill.
Dierschke was also unanimously re-elected as TFB president at the event Monday.
