Grape Grower Field Day scheduled for Feb. 8 in Cat Spring

A variety of topics of interest to Texas’ grape growers will be discussed at the 21st Annual Gulf Coast Grape Grower Field Day Feb. 8 at the Agricultural Society Hall in Cat Spring.
The event, organized by the Austin County Grape Grower Committee and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will include presentations by experts on topics of interest to Texas’ wine grape producers.
The event will also include discussion on updates to the industry and research on Pierce’s diseases and other challenges wine grape growers now face.
Registration for the field day will be held from 8:30 to 9 a.m. the day of the event; however, event organizers ask potential attendees to RSVP to fawestover@ag.tamu.edu or 281-855-5608.
Cost for the event, a catered lunch, materials and the wine social is $30.
