The U.S. Department of Agriculture is working to help its borrowers in Texas reduce their monthly housing costs.
Thursday, the USDA announced that its rural development two-year pilot refinancing program has been expanded to include rural residents in Texas, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
According to the USDA, expansion of the program will help more rural Texans who have borrowed money from the USDA to refinance their mortgages to reduce their monthly payments and ease their financial burdens.
