At least two Texans will serve on the Cattlemen’s Beef Board Executive Committee in the coming year.
According to Farm Progress, Anne Anderson and Sugie Sartwelle, both of Texas, have been named to the 2013 Executive Committee along with: CBB Vice Chairman Kim Brackett of Idaho, Chairman Weldon Wynn of Arkansas, Jimmy Maxey of California, Dean Black of Iowa, importer Laurie Bryant, Steve Irsik of Kansas, Hank Maxey of Virginia, Gary Sharp of South Dakota and Eric Smith of Alabama.
The executive committee is responsible for carrying out Beef Board policies operating under the direction of the full board.
The assignments were made Feb. 6-9 at the 2013 Cattle Industry Convention in Tampa, Florida.
